The strategy takes place in the country of Eo. The heir to the mysterious magical tower, which the player must become, must fight with other wizards to free the main source of magical power – the Arch Flame.
SpellForce: Conquest of Eo offers not only the opportunity to participate in tactical battles with powerful heroes, but also to collect resources and wealth, as well as improve and expand the entrusted tower. The main feature of the project is a procedurally generated story campaign. The game features over 60 spells and 100 troop types, as well as a rune and artifact creation system.
The SpellForce: Conquest of Eo strategy was well received by both players and the press: The game’s review in steam is at 80% (more than 1200 reviews), rating on the aggregator OpenCritic is 76% based on 14 reviews.
In her review for 3DNews, Mila Ponomareva rated the game 7 out of 10 and concluded: “SpellForce: Conquest of Eo is quite well executed, with a careful look at the best works in the genre. It’s a shame that, as an independent entity, it hardly manages to bring at least something extraordinary and original into the established canon.”.
SpellForce: Conquest of Eo was released exclusively for PC on February 3rd (steam, GOG, Epic Games Store). The game is scheduled to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X and S by the end of 2023.
