Selected flagship Core i9-12900KS processor written down on sale by one of the American retailers. The price of the chip varies between $780 and $792 for the tray and box versions respectively. In one case it is stated that the delivery of the chip will start in about three weeks, in the second the delivery start date is March 3rd, exactly in two weeks.
A Twitter user using the alias @momomo_us, who has repeatedly given reliable hints about future updates, divided more details on the Core i9-12900KS. Remember that Intel only officially presented this processor at CES 2022, but did not disclose its detailed characteristics.
So far, it is known that the processor is capable of automatically overclocking one core to a frequency of 5.5 GHz, which is 300 MHz higher than the value declared for the Core i9-12900K version. A recent leak revealed that the Core i9-12900KS has a base TDP (PBP/PL1) of 150W instead of the regular 125W.
According to leaker @momomo_us, the MTP/PL2 processor has a maximum power rating of 260W, which is 19W more than the Core i9-12900K variant. At the same time, he also pointed out that the base frequency of the selected flagship processor is 200 MHz higher and is around 3.4 GHz.
