There are still about four months until the official announcement of the flagship smartphones of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, but information about new products has already leaked on the Internet. The SmartPrix website and authoritative insider Steve Hemmerstoffer, known by the nickname OnLeaks, published videos and renders of the base flagship Samsung Galaxy S24. This is the most compact smartphone in the series and is equipped with a 6.1-inch display.
Judging by the representations and VideoThe design differences between the Galaxy S24 and its predecessor are likely to be quite small. In particular, the S24 features completely flat, polished side edges, in contrast to the slightly rounded sides of the Galaxy S23. Flat edges make the smartphone look like the latest iPhone generations, although Apple has already done without glossy edges on the iPhone 15. At the same time, the new model has the same rounded corners and metal frame as its predecessor. The design of the rear camera with three vertically arranged lenses was also retained.
The video also shows the Galaxy S24 smartphone in blue with a UWB antenna strip under the power button. Ultra Wideband (UWB) support is available on the older Galaxy S23+ and S23 Ultra models, but for the first time it will be available on the base model of the flagship Galaxy series. The renders also show a USB Type-C port, a SIM card slot, a microphone and a speaker on the bottom. There are two additional microphones on the top of the case.
According to sources, the Galaxy S24 will have the following dimensions: 147 × 70.5 × 7.6 mm. This means that the new smartphone is slightly longer and narrower than the Galaxy S23 with the same thickness.
According to rumors, the global version of the Galaxy S24 will be equipped with an Exynos 2400 processor, while in Canada, China and the USA the version with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip will be sold. The smartphone is expected to come with an LTPO OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of up to 2500 nits2. The RAM volume of the new product is up to 12 GB, flash memory 256/512 GB. The main camera of the smartphone will have a 50-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, as well as a 10-megapixel sensor. The resolution of the selfie camera is 12 megapixels.
