Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S24 series flagship smartphones at the Unpacked event early next year, earlier than usual. The presentation is expected to take place on January 17 in San Francisco, while in previous years the Korean giant presented new flagships in February. For Samsung, this could be a strategic move in the fight against Apple for leadership in the American smartphone market.

The information source SBS Biz, citing SamMobile, reported Samsung’s plans to hold a presentation of new flagship smartphones on January 17. This information is confirmed by insider Ice Universe, who previously indicated January 18 as a possible date for the presentation.
Other sources also claim that Samsung’s partners will begin mass production of new products a month earlier than usual. This change in schedule is apparently due to the South Korean company’s desire to compete early with Apple in the American smartphone market with its latest iPhone 15.
Samsung is also reportedly planning to return to the US next year to launch the new Galaxy Z Fold and Flip foldable phones. The latest Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5 models were unveiled in Seoul and the return of the Unpacked show to the US this summer underscores the importance of the US market for the company.
