Samsung has announced the mid-range Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A53 smartphones running the Android 12 operating system with a proprietary custom add-on One UI 4.1. Compared to its predecessors, the novelties received fresh processors that not only offer higher performance, but also support 5G communications.

The devices are equipped with a 6.7 or 6.5 inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display. In both cases, a matrix in Full HD+ format with a resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz is used. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Galaxy A73 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor with an Adreno 642L graphics accelerator. A quad camera is installed on the back in a configuration of 108 + 12 + 5 + 5 million pixels.
The Galaxy A53 modification received a proprietary Samsung Exynos 1280 chip with a Mali-G68 graphics accelerator. The quad camera combines sensors with 64, 12, 5 and 5 million pixels.
Both smartphones feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, an NFC controller and a USB Type-C port. Power is supplied by a 5000 mAh battery with 25 W charging power. Protection against moisture and dust implemented according to the IP67 standard.
The Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A53 will be available with 6GB and 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB of storage. So far, only the price of the younger version is mentioned – from 450 dollars.
