Recall that the game was expected to premiere on October 17th. As has become known, it is now planned that Alan Wake II will be available ten days later, on October 27th, for PC (Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S.
The delay is not related to development issues: “October is a great month for game releases. Hopefully this date shift gives everyone more time to enjoy their favorite games.”.
Several other fall blockbusters appear in the Alan Wake II section, including Assassin’s Creed Mirage (October 5), Forza Motorsport (October 10), Lords of the Fallen (October 13), Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (October 20 ) and Super Mario Bros. Marvel (October 20).
Meanwhile, Remedy is gearing up for a new show from Alan Wake II – the game will appear as part of the gamescom 2023: Opening Night Live Show, which will take place on August 22nd. The demonstration is dedicated to writer Alan Wake, who is locked in the Dark House.
