company meta* will significantly lower the price of Meta’s professional virtual and augmented reality headset* Quest Pro, as well as reducing the cost of the Quest 2 VR gaming headset, according to The Verge, citing a statement from CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

meta cost* Quest Pro will drop from $1499.99 to $999.99. The Quest 2 gaming headset with 256GB of storage will drop in price from $499.99 to $429.99. Thanks to lower prices, more users could buy these devices, Zuckerberg commented on this decision.

Decreased meta cost* Quest Pro is expected in the US and Canada on March 5th. On March 15, the headset will be cheaper in other countries where it is officially sold. The Quest 2 Gaming VR Headset will be available March 5th in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland a price cut , Taiwan, UK and US.

Oddly enough, with the Quest 2 dropping in price from $499.99 to $429.99, the 256GB version of the Quest 2 will only be $30 more expensive than the 128GB model. For example, whether there are plans to lower the price of the junior model at Meta* not reported.
As already known, Meta* has no plans to release a new professional VR headset to replace the Quest Pro in the next few years. However, at the end of the year the company will present a new gaming model Quest 3.
