The photo from the Chinese regulator showed the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE – the announcement is expected in September

There are more and more hints on the Internet about the upcoming announcement of Samsung’s Galaxy S23 FE smartphone, the predecessor of which was released in 2021. The new smartphone is rumored to be unveiled this month and information about it has already appeared in the China Telecommunications Equipment Certification Authority (TENAA) database, including some specification details and photos.

The Galaxy S23 FE smartphone has a 6.4-inch display with Full HD+ resolution (2340 × 1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. According to TENAA, the display supports 16 million colors and a color depth of 8 bits. Previously, leaks reported that the smartphone’s screen refresh rate is 120 Hz and an in-display fingerprint scanner is used for unlocking. The Galaxy S23 FE measures 158.0 x 76.5 x 8.2 mm and weighs 210 g.

According to rumors, the Galaxy S23 FE will come with either a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip or an Exynos 2200 chip, depending on the market. It looks like TENAA has certified the model with an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip with a frequency of up to 2.99 GHz paired with 8 GB of RAM as well as a flash drive with a capacity of 128 or 256 GB.

The smartphone also received a main camera with a 50-megapixel sensor, supplemented by an 8-megapixel module with a telephoto lens (probably with 3x optical zoom) and a 12-megapixel sensor with ultra-wide-angle optics. The resolution of the selfie camera is 10 megapixels. The 4370 mAh battery supports fast charging, probably at 25 W. The Android 13 operating system with OneUI 5.1 interface is also expected to be pre-installed.
