Most recently, the developers spoke about the sale of NieR: Automata in November 2022 – at that time there were about 7 million copies. It turns out that in the last five months, another half a million people bought the game.

NieR: Automata was released outside of Japan on PS4 and PC (Steam) in March 2017, and subsequently made its way to Xbox One and the Microsoft Store. Also on October 6, 2022, the action was released on the Nintendo Switch in The End of YoRHa Edition, which includes previously released add-ons (notably 3C3C1D119440927) and skins exclusive to the Switch version.

Also remember that in January of this year the anime NieR: Automata Ver1.1a started, which is not an exact copy of the game in terms of plot, but pays enough attention to the main events.

NieR: Automata takes place in the distant future: Mankind has been driven from Earth by mechanical creatures from another world. Android soldiers 2B, 9S and A2 are sent there in an attempt to destroy the invaders and retake the planet.
