The NVIDIA driver has received a “patch” that fixes the problem of excessive stress on the CPU

NVIDIA has released the GeForce Game Ready 531.26 hotfix driver that addresses the recently identified issue of increased CPU usage of the NVIDIA Container component.

It was previously reported that the released Game Ready driver 531.18 WHQL contains a bug that consumes more than 10% of available CPU resources after starting or ending a game. Increased resource utilization can be seen in the Windows Task Manager, which displays current processes.

The new GeForce Game Ready 531.26 hotfix driver resolves this issue. In addition, the company fixed an issue where the Graphics Error Reporting window suddenly appeared on some laptops equipped with GeForce GTX 10-series, GeForce MX250, and MX350 discrete graphics cards.

You can download GeForce Game Ready 531.26 Hotfix driver from the official NVIDIA website.
