The new Vaio SX12 and SX14 laptops get an Intel Alder Lake processor

The Vaio brand has announced the updated SX12 and SX14 laptops, which come with 12.5- and 14-inch displays, respectively. It is based on the Intel Alder Lake hardware platform.

Both new products are manufactured in a robust housing according to the MIL-STD-810H standard. The maximum configuration includes the Core i7-1260P processor, which contains 12 cores – four powerful and eight energy-efficient. Simultaneous processing of up to 16 instruction streams is possible, and the clock speed reaches 4.7 GHz. The chip contains an Intel Iris Xe accelerator. The size of the LPDDR4X RAM is 16 GB.

The screen of the Vaio SX12 laptop has a Full HD resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. This model is equipped with a 512 GB PCIe SSD. The Vaio SX12 All Black Edition will also be available with a 14-core Core i7-1280P chip.

The Vaio SX14 laptop will go on sale in versions with a Full HD and 4K display (3840 × 2160 pixels). The storage capacity is 1 TB.

New items have wireless Wi-Fi 6E adapter; A 5G module can be installed as an option. The claimed battery life on a single charge reaches 26-27 hours.
