The social network Twitter has started testing a new Circle feature that will allow users to manually select up to 150 interlocutors for their tweets. The rest won’t even know about the existence of new posts.
The function is similar to the option that allows you to choose a circle of “close friends” in Instagram*who have access to Stories. During the announcement, Twitter stated: “Some tweets are for everyone and others only for the people you choose”. According to the company, Twitter Circle is suitable for those who want to share information with a limited group of people, and the function is already available to some users.
Those who already have the new opportunity can select up to 150 people, regardless of whether they are subscribers. After that, when sending a tweet, you can select the Twitter Circle option to limit the distribution to the users you choose. It is known that users can edit the list of favorites at any time, and those who have been removed from the list of favorites will not receive notifications about this.
This is not the only innovation among those that could appear soon. Elon Musk is not yet the owner of the service, but is already developing ideas, such as charging government and commercial organizations for using the social network.
