The network received 24 minutes of gameplay and screenshots of the version of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 that is no longer scheduled for release

Developed until February 2021 by American Hardsuit Labs (Blacklight: Retribution), the version of the role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will never see the light of day. However, thanks to a former employee of the studio, fans got a chance to see what this version of the project looked like.

Following yesterday’s announcement of the new developers of Bloodlines 2, a Reddit forum user was found using the alias deadmoneywaseasy portfolio Former Hardsuit Labs level designer Larry Valley (Larry Valley), two pre-alpha gameplay videos and a number of previously unreleased screenshots.

In the 8-minute segment, the hero explores the warehouse and fights enemies (with his bare hands and with the help of a hoop iron), and in the 16-minute segment, he wanders the corridors of an abandoned hospital in the Pacific Tower skyscraper. This episode was inspired by PT and featured time travel (the player was transported to the 1940s).

As you can see from both videos, the version of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 that Valli worked on already looked pretty good, but it was full of flaws: both graphically and, for example, artificial intelligence. The gallery below contains screenshots of locations.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is expected to be released on PC (Steam, GOG, EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. After Hardsuit Labs, the project was transferred to another studio. They will reveal what that is at the September presentation – they also promise to reveal when to wait for the game.
