While Microsoft is rolling out new 3D emojis for Teams, Windows 11 has only received 2D emojis so far. However, the company recently hinted that it is still working on rich emoji for its flagship operating system.

“Users will see a redesign of most emoji previously available in Teams, as well as some brand new emoji. All emoticons with skin support have six variants of them.”said Kaushal Mehta, a member of the Microsoft Teams development team.

New 3D emojis will appear in chats and channels, as well as in live meetings on the platform. Some emoticons are animated. To gain access to the new emoticons, Teams users must go to the service settings and enable temporary access to new features. 3D emojis are available in Microsoft Teams for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux and all supported web browsers.
