The iPhone 15 Pro Max couldn’t keep up with the fastest Android smartphone in AnTuTu tests

The Apple A17 Pro single-chip platform built into the iPhone 15 Pro Max has one of the fastest mobile processors in the world, which was confirmed by tests in a mobile benchmark AnTuTu. The chip passed the test with a score of 1,641,883 points, which meant that it could not overtake the record holder on Android, although the gap was not large at all.

For comparison: last year’s Apple A16 Bionic chip scored a score of 1,474,011 points in AnTuTu, and the Apple M1 processor installed in the MacBook and iPad was just ahead with a score of 1,754,456 points. Unfortunately, the iPhone 15 Pro Max still couldn’t beat the new leader from the Android camp – the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone showed 1,648,735 points.

In addition to the great overall rating, the Apple A17 Pro chip scored 392,643 points in the CPU classification and 597,734 points due to the powerful graphics subsystem. According to Apple itself, the A17 Pro was 20% faster than its predecessor, the A16 Bionic, while the new chipset showed 27% faster speed in AnTuTu tests. In the memory test, the A17 Pro finally achieved 306,164 points.
