After being unveiled to the public last week, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are now available for purchase in more than 40 countries around the world. Since the start of sales, Apple has added new information to the description of the new smartphones that prolonged contact of the skin of the hands with the titanium frame can lead to a temporary color change.
The official iPhone care support page now has a section for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. According to Apple, using the device without a case may cause discoloration of the titanium frame. This is because sebum can interact with the frame material and temporarily change its color.

Initial test reports have already identified this feature: Despite the new titanium frame, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max remain excessively sensitive to fingerprints. However, Apple reassures users by claiming that this phenomenon is reversible. To restore the original color, simply wipe the frame with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
The company also strongly recommends avoiding cleaning solutions and compressed air. While the company doesn’t recommend any specific wipes for the device, there are dedicated accessories on the market, including a $19 wipe from Apple itself.
