Honor introduced the mid-price smartphone Play 50 Plus with MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13 in China. The new product replaces the Honor Play 40 Plus model announced in October last year.
The Honor Play 50 Plus is based on an eight-core Dimensity 6020 processor with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz, which is complemented by 8 or 12 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 256 GB. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.8-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, with an 8-megapixel selfie camera in the center at the top.
On the back, two cameras are placed vertically one behind the other – the main camera with a 50-megapixel sensor and the additional camera with a 2-megapixel scene depth sensor.
The power source is a 6000mAh battery with support for 35W fast charging. The Honor Play 50 Plus’ specifications also include 5G support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual speakers with Hi-Res Audio support, a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone audio jack.
The Honor Play 50 Plus is available in four colors: black, purple, silver and green and is already available in China on the official Honor website. The price of the Honor Play 50 Plus with 12/256GB storage is 1399 yuan ($195). The price of the model with 8 GB RAM will be announced a little later.
