The Google I/O conference will take place on May 11th and 12th – Android 13 and more will be presented there

In recent years, many large technology trade fairs and conferences as well as individual events of large IT companies have either been canceled or held in virtual format. However, Google seems willing to go back to the old practice and organize an annual I/O conference for developers the old-fashioned way.

The company announced the Google I/O conference and confirmed its face-to-face format – this year it will take place on May 11-12. However, Google said they intend to cap the number of visitors to avoid the usual past crowds during the pandemic.

According to the company’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, the next meeting with the public and professionals will be held at the open Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California. He confirmed that the event is indeed scheduled for the first half of May.

However, Google employees themselves, as well as corporate partners, will be able to witness the California event. At the same time, traditionally for modern technology “shows” there will also be a live broadcast on the web, which anyone can watch directly from their home or office.

It is not yet known exactly what information Google will share at the event, details are not yet available and on his website. According to rumors, we can talk about the announcement of Android 13 and other software. It is also possible that the organizers will announce the release of the new Pixel Watch and the Pixel 6a smartphone.
