Huawei confirmed this websitethat the international version of the MatePad Pro 13.2 tablet computer received a different processor than its model sold in China. The new product worldwide uses Huawei’s own Kirin 9000W processor.
The eight-core Huawei Kirin 9000W includes a powerful Taishan Big core from our own development with a frequency of 2.6 GHz, three productive Taishan Mid cores also from our own development with a frequency of 2.15 GHz and a quartet of economical Arm Cortex-A510 with 1.53 GHz. The chip is manufactured using 7nm technology. What’s worth noting is that the Huawei-developed cores used here support multithreading, which is why some applications identify the Kirin 9000W as having 12 cores. The Chinese manufacturer prefers to disclose the technical characteristics of its processors to a minimum, which is obviously due to the US sanctions imposed against it.
Other technical specifications of the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 include a 13.2-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2880 × 1920 pixels, 12 GB of RAM and a built-in memory of 256 or 512 GB. On the back of the device there is a 13-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera; There’s also a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The 10,000mAh battery supports 88W fast charging and the software platform is HarmonyOS 4.0.
