AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT graphics cards are coming this month, designed to compete with 16GB accelerators NVIDIA RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti. Since new AMD graphics cards are sold at a more attractive price, NVIDIA partners have not waited for the start of sales and are already reducing the cost of accelerators. For example, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB is already under $450 in some online stores.

The RX 7700XT graphics card, due out next week, will reportedly cost $449. With that in mind, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB launched in July, which retailed at $499, seems less attractive. Apparently, fears that without a price change for NVIDIA’s accelerators it will be difficult to compete have prompted the company and its partners to cut the cost of graphics cards.
Some NVIDIA partners have already responded to AMD’s threat and dropped the price of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB to $449 or even less. For example, the PNY GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB Verto accelerator can be purchased on the Amazon platform for $430. The same graphics card from MSI and Asus costs $449 in some locations, which also confirms the centralized reduction in accelerator costs.

This is how the market reacted to the upcoming release of AMD graphics cards with a price reduction for the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB. At the same time, similar dynamics in relation to the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB or GeForce RTX 4070 have not been observed so far.
