Graphics accelerator GeForce RTX 3090 Ti in a non-standard version first appeared in a photo published by the VideoCardz portal with reference to Insider @wnxod. We are talking about the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Boomstar model from GALAX.
The photo shows that the accelerator is equipped with a new 12 + 4-pin PCIe 5.0 connector, capable of supplying the graphics card with up to 600W. GALAX Boomstar graphics accelerators are usually massive 2.5-3 slot solutions and the upcoming new product is no exception.
Unlike the GALAX GeForce RTX 3090 Boomstar, which comes with two 8-pin power connectors, the GALAX GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Boomstar model received a 12+4-pin PCIe 5.0 power connector. It’s very likely that NVIDIA’s future graphics solutions will be heavily equipped with this special power connector.
The GALAX GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Boomstar, as well as versions of the graphics card from other manufacturers, are expected to go on sale on March 29th. The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti uses an NVIDIA GA102-350 GPU with 10,752 CUDA cores. The graphics card received 24 GB of GDDR6X memory with a speed of 21 Gb / s, and the declared TDP is 450 watts. It’s possible that non-reference accelerator options have even higher power consumption.
