Developer at Cold Iron Studios reported about the start of the fourth season of the cooperative shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite, which was detailed a few weeks ago. The update added a new mode to the game, expanded the progression system and introduced support for crossplay between PC and consoles.
In the expanded shooter progression system, reaching level 20 progression points are awarded towards the prestige rank, which is reflected in the new plates. For every 10 levels of prestige, the player receives rewards (appearance, accessories, weapon colors and other cosmetic items).
The new Restock Turrets mode challenges players to fend off Xenomorphs from all directions while reloading the turrets needed to defend their position. And crossplay allows users to play together steamXbox and PlayStation in all modes including quick play.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite was released on August 24th, 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S and was added to Xbox Game Pass on December 14th.
