Lowe for a short time worked joined Lionhead Studios in 2013 as a tester and returned to the studio shortly after leaving as a test programmer for Fable Legends. She later became an assistant producer on the project. In March 2016, development of a cooperative action role-playing game was abandoned and Lowe moved to German Goodgame Studios, which dealt with mobile and browser shareware RPGs, and then to British Sumo Digital, where she worked for almost 5.5 years . She was Art Producer on Crackdown 3 and was promoted to Lead Art Team Producer in 2018. Loak is now returning to Microsoft, having previously worked as a tester for the company at Lionhead Studios.
The new Fable was announced at the Xbox Game Showcase in July 2020, where a cinematic teaser was shown. Since then, almost nothing has been said about her. The next part will “A Fresh Start for a Legendary Franchise” and will combine new and old elements. This is how Xbox CEO Phil Spencer described it last year “carefree”than other RPGs and with a more British feel. In November, Playground Games lead engineer Tom Gaulton announced that development had been going on for at least four years. The project is based on ForzaTech, the engine behind Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon.
The team includes other veteran professionals including former Rockstar, Rocksteady, BioWare and Ubisoft employees, as well as developers from Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon. Last year, Pawel Kapala, Cyberpunk 2077 Senior Gameplay Designer, joined the team.
The latest entry in the series, the free card game Fable Fortune was released in February 2018 and was discontinued in March 2020. She received not too high ratings from the press (Metacritic Rating – 63-70/100), like the previous Fable anniversary 2014 (68/100) and the 2012 Kinect offshoot Fable: The Journey (61/100). After the release of The Journey, franchise creator Peter Molyneux left Lionhead Studios.
The new Fable is coming to PC, Xbox Series X and S.
