Startup Humane, founded by former Apple employees, has announced plans to launch its first products next spring. Humane’s mission is to create a new class of consumer devices and technologies based on “real collaboration between designers and engineers“, which does ______________ mean “the next milestone in human interaction with computers“. Exactly what will be discussed is not yet clear, but I promise something that wasn’t there before.

The teaser released by the company shows Humane’s hand and logo reading “Spring 2023.” Humane is led by former Apple designer Imran Chaudhri, who has worked for the company for over 20 years. He announced the upcoming announcement at the Voices 2022 conference organized by The Business of Fashion. He also talked aboutPost-smartphone era and how artificial intelligence will change everything“.
Chaudhry called smart glasses “attacking“because they”add a barrier between a person and their environment“. He believes that is not the casemany want to go like this“. Judging by patents pending and a teaser video released this year, Humane is most likely working on an Android-based wearable device that displays a laser projection of an image on the user’s hand.

One of the patents in the description of the Humane wearable device states that it may contain a camera (180° field of view with OIS is cited as an example specification), a 3D camera and a depth sensor (Lidar or ToF) which are used to recognize “air gestures” by hand.
The company is expected to unveil an operating system/platform to manage their functions at the future event, along with wearable devices.
