According to teasers, the novelty will be the first device in the industry with a 35mm main camera lens. This focal length is ideal for a variety of shooting scenarios, from portraits to street photography. The main camera modules on most modern flagships use 24mm optics. The 35mm lens is a mix of wide-angle and portrait lens, making the Nubia Z40 a very interesting device.
As for the sensor, according to Nubia, the novelty will be the first smartphone with a Sony IMX787 sensor. Unfortunately, its properties are not yet known. The teaser also says that the smartphone’s camera will feature an f/1.6 aperture, optical stabilization and multi-point focusing.
Like most of the latest flagships, the novelty will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The chipset is complemented by a powerful cooling system made of “aeronautical grade” heat-dissipating materials, according to ZTE.
It is not yet known when the smartphone will be launched. More details about the device are expected in the near future.
