According to Belzil, the team currently has no plans for additions to Shredder’s Revenge: it takes a lot of resources to create a new character and a lot of time and effort to develop alternative costumes.
“The characters are animated to the smallest detail and it takes a long time to make. It will take about two months or more to animate a new hero, even without considering balance and game design.”explained Belzil.
As Dotemu leader Cyrille Imbert clarified in his Twitter, the fate of the DLC for Shredder’s Revenge is an issue that has not yet been resolved. It will depend “many factors”including the reception of the game and the ideas submitted by the community.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is out today, June 16, on PC (Steam), PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Game Pass (PC and Xbox). The game will have six-person co-op and seven possible heroes.
