The Embracer boss was unpleasantly surprised by the new Saints Row’s low ratings

Recall that on the eve of the release of the reboot of Saints Row was made, to put it mildly, cool: the assessment of the project metacritical does not exceed 66%. Vingefors admitted he expected more.

“Personally, I was hoping for a warmer reception to the game. He was very controversial. There’s a lot to say about that: I’m happy about happy players and fans, but at the same time some of the fans were dissatisfied.”said Wingefors.

Despite the relatively low scores, Vingefors believes Saints Row still has the potential to turn Embracer into a win. But probably not as big as some other (more successful projects) of the holding company.

The prospects for Saints Row as a whole are not entirely clear at this time. Wingefors found that every franchise should ideally grow in popularity with each new installment, and for that you need “Rate your position” and the result obtained.

However, it’s still too early to bury the new Saints Row: “I think we’ll have to wait for the November earnings report with details on that. We are still early in the life cycle and still gathering information. Also, bug fixes and additional content are on the way..

Saints Row was released on August 23rd on PC (EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia. The game tells the story of four young friends who decide to start a criminal empire.
