Publisher Neowiz and developer of Studio Round8 released more than an hour of gameplay of his fantasy action role-playing game Lies of P based on the story of Pinocchio.
The two videos released showed Lies of P director Ji-won Choi walking through a demo made available to gamescom 2022 attendees in late August.
The first video lasts a little over half an hour and shows the introduction in an introductory passage, including choosing a character class, fighting common opponents, exploring a location and fighting a mechanical guardian (boss).
With the second video, an interesting situation turned out: the runtime of the version published on September 13 on the Neowiz YouTube channel is only nine and a half minuteswhile IGN’s version was stretched for all 38.
Neowiz’s cutscene ends at the indicated mark, while the developer moves on in the IGN footage, showing a fight with three bosses, the last of which becomes an insurmountable obstacle.
Recall that in the role of a mechanical puppet Pinocchio, the users of Lies of P must find their creator Geppetto and find a way to save the city of Krat, plunged into madness and bloodthirstiness.
Lies of P is expected to be released in 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Game Pass. They promise more than 30 weapon combinations and boss types, a change of weather and a 30-hour campaign, and a unique system of lies.
