The developers of The Day Before made a mistake with the brand – the release had to be postponed, the page on Steam was generally blocked

Mytona publishing house and developer from the Yakut studio Fntastic reported about the postponement of his MMO open-world survival shooter The Day Before. The new delay was the result of unforeseen problems.

Keep in mind that The Day Before was presented in January 2021 and was expected to premiere on PC (Steam) on June 21, 2022 and until recently March 1, 2023. Versions for PS5, Xbox Series X and S are also in development.

As has become known, the developers will no longer be on time for the scheduled date: it is now planned to publish The Day Before on November 10, 2023. The promised January demo of “clean gameplay” has also been delayed.

As for unforeseen issues, on the night of January 24-25, The Day Before Steam page was released clogged (see copy in Internet Archive) at the request of the trademark owner of The Day Before in the United States.

The US trademark application for The Day Before is pending May 2021 (Fntastic reached January 2022) was submitted by a certain Sun Jae Lee from South Korea. Last Thursday, January 19th, the studio received a complaint from him and are now trying to get to the bottom of the matter.

The bad news angered many players who were anticipating the upcoming release and screening of The Day Before. Until recently, the project ranked second (Hogwarts Legacy took the lead) in terms of the number of new additions to Steam wishlists.

The events of The Day Before take place in a pandemic-ravaged America inundated with bloodthirsty infected. Players must search for resources, fight monsters and take part in restoring society.
