The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is TIGA’s Game of the Year

British gaming trade organization TIGA has announced the winners of its annual award. The title of “Game of the Year” was earned by the horror film studio Supermassive Games called The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope.

Jake Habgood, Director of Education Partnerships at Sumo Group, received the Outstanding Personality award. Kwalee was named Best Large Studio and XR Games received the Best Small Studio award.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope was released on October 30, 2020. This is the second part of the horror series from Supermassive Games. In the center of the plot are four college students and their professor, who, due to a bus accident, ended up in the city of Little Hope, famous for the witch trials in 1692. In an attempt to find help, the heroes will meet terrifying ghosts and learn about the events of the past.

The TIGA Awards 2021 ceremony took place virtually. Here’s a list of the winners:

  • Best Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment;
  • Best VR / AR Game: Sniper Elite VR
  • Best Puzzle Game: Call of the Sea
  • Best Visual Design: Returnal;
  • Game of the Year: The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope.
