According to the storyline of Hogwarts Legacy, players will take on the role of a new student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 19th century. The project will have no co-op, no competitive multiplayer, no microtransactions.

In a 46-minute presentation (about 34 minutes of gameplay), the developers, led by director Alan Tew, showed the depth of the character editor, took a quick tour of Hogwarts, and demonstrated the combat system.

During the Hogwarts tour (which started with Hufflepuff’s toilet), the developers talked about more than 20 equippable spells, the ability to turn off many interface elements, a menu in the form of instructions and a day and night cycle.

Players can visit most of the visible locations and be rude in the dialogues (if desired). Skipping lessons (they will be part of the plot structure) is impossible. They also cannot play magic chess and spit stones.

Finally, the authors explained the principles of enchantment, the system of parrying enemy shots (if you hold down the button, a counterattack will come) and showed several battles (the color of the shield indicates a spell suitable for breaking it) .

Hogwarts Legacy is expected to release on February 10th, 2023 on PC (Steam, EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, with the Switch release date to be announced at a later date. Previously, the system requirements of the game were presented.
