Publisher Bandai Namco and developer from Japanese studio FromSoftware at The Game Awards 2022 announced new joint project. Contrary to expectations, it turned out that it was not a paid addition to the Elden Ring, but an action game based on the battle robot Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.

As previously announced, players will take on the role of an independent mercenary caught up in a struggle between corporations and rebel groups for control of a mysterious substance on the remote planet Rubicon 3, which was infected and burned half a century ago due to a failed energy source .
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon users must assemble their own battle robot and take control and take part in fast-paced missions, using dynamic techniques only possible on mechs and a mix of ranged and melee combat to break down the enemy’s resistance .
According to Bandai Namco, Fires of Rubicon will combine FromSoftware’s expertise in building Armored Core with its legendary gameplay. The cinematic trailer doesn’t reveal what the game looks like, but screenshots of a closed survey on the project, which had not yet been announced at the time, were published in the ResetEra forum in January.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Coming to PC in 2023 (steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. Hidetaka Miyazaki led the development in the initial stages, but later hand over Masaru Yamamura, Chief Designer of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
