The composer of The Last of Us Part II accidentally confirmed the remaster of the game

The sensational action-adventure The Last of Us Part II from studio Naughty Dog is still available on the last generation console. But after the new interview with the composer of the game Gustavo Santaolalli (Gustavo Santaolalla) not for long.

Santaolalla blurted out too much when talking about his appearance in The Last of Us Part II – the musician could be found walking the streets of the Jackson settlement at the start of the game (see screenshot below) but wasn’t allowed to interact with him him.

IN Current interview in Spanish Santaolalla mentioned the in “Reissues” His character can be asked to play this or that tune. The composer then added that he could say no more.

Insider Tom Henderson revealed that The Last of Us Part II is waiting for the Director’s Cut (re-release for PS5 and possibly PC) in early 2022. He didn’t know anything about the timing of the re-release.

In May 2021, The Last of Us Part II received a patch that improves the game on PS5 as part of backwards compatibility, but a full-fledged version of the project for the latest Sony console does not yet exist.

In September 2022, Sony Interactive Entertainment already rescued the original The Last of Us from PS3 and PS4 captivity by releasing a full-fledged remake on PS5 – The Last of Us Part I. In March 2023, the project reached PC.

The Last of Us Part II was released exclusively on PS4 in June 2020 and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide in two years. According to a recent leak, the game’s production budget was $220 million.
