The board game Elden Ring raised more than $2.2 million on Kickstarter in two days, despite the authors asking 12 times less

Steamforged games started November 23 Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the development of an Elden Ring open-world fantasy role-playing action game. This studio has already released similar products for Dark Souls, Horizon Zero Dawn and other games.

The Elden Ring board game is incredibly popular with fans, according to preliminary fundraising numbers. At the time of writing this article, the project was collected over $2.2 million from 7621 contributors. The authors have seven days left to raise funds, but their original goal was a much more modest amount – $181,845.

Elden Ring: The Board Game offers players the opportunity to explore the locations of the Interearth, fight opponents and study characters with a deep personalization system. You can spend time at the table both alone and in a group of up to four people.

The original Elden Ring debuted on February 25th on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. As of June 30th, the game had sold over 16.6 million copies worldwide.
