The blogger went through Elden Ring playing a pacifist – without harming enemies

Blogger Iron Pineapple posted a video on his YouTube channel in which he tries to answer the question of whether it’s possible to complete the fantasy open-world role-playing game Elden Ring without attacking enemies.

Unlike previous FromSoftware games, in Elden Ring you can call for help not only from other players and NPCs, but also from the spirits of various characters (warriors, mages, animals).

It was these spirits, along with all sorts of buffs and healing spells, that Iron Pineapple used to overcome the resistance of the necessary bosses en route to the Elden Ring finale.

From the Iron Pineapple hero himself, all that was required was not dealing direct damage to opponents. The enthusiast decided to respect the restriction not only in boss fights, but throughout the journey.

Without a creative interpretation of the rules (e.g. when using knockback spells, gravity kills enemies falling into the abyss), trials (it took several hours to make some decisions) and errors (not all the author’s ideas proved turned out to be realizable), the race didn’t start.

It is noteworthy that on March 16, a video of a similar nature was published by the blogger Ghostzapper, but due to the low popularity of the channel (5,000 subscribers), it was passed by the gaming community (about 800 views).

Elden Ring debuted on February 25 on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. Meanwhile, speedrunners are trying to get the game up and running as quickly as possible: the unofficial record holder is already standing 18 minutes done.
