The blogger finished GTA V killing less than 100 people – the passage spanned three years

Australian blogger Matthew Judge, better known as DarkViperAU, closed his most peaceful action in the open world of Grand Theft Auto V with a record score.

The streamer embarked on a pacifist adventure through the world of Grand Theft Auto V back in May 2019. A little over three years later, nearly 30 videos and thousands of hours spent in-game, DarkViperAU’s job was done.

With a loose take on pacifism, DarkViperAU has set itself some caveats: only kill when absolutely necessary, in melee and without armor (when possible), and don’t resort to cheats or mods either.

On the way to the canonical ending of GTA V, “only” 96 people fell victim to DarkViperAU. The most peaceful of the three protagonists was Franklin (10 kills), and the most bloodthirsty was Trevor (50 casualties).

DarkViperAU’s result makes it a five-minute saint compared to the previous record holder – a group of amateur pacifists from the Reddit forum claimed that at least 726 people would have to be killed en route to the final match.

In last year’s DarkViperAU video criticized Reddit Enthusiast Methods: The streamer noted that many of the murders featured in her video could have been avoided, including by switching between heroes in a timely manner.

Grand Theft Auto V debuted on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, and subsequently found its way to PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. By the end of June 2022, sales of the game approached 170 million copies.
