Biostar has announced the TZ590-BTC motherboard, on the basis of which it is possible to create a cryptocurrency mining platform. The model is made in ATX format with dimensions of 305 × 244 mm.
The Intel Z590 logic set served as the basis. Intel Core processors of the 10th and 11th generation in the LGA 1200 version are supported. The system can be equipped with 128 GB DDR4-3600(OC)/…/ 2133 RAM in a 4 × 32 GB configuration.
The novelty is, in fact, a simplified modification of the TZ590-BTC Duo board, which debuted in September last year. The number of SATA 3.0 ports has been reduced from ten to six, and instead of two connections for M.2 solid state modules there is now only one available.
To install cards responsible for mining, there are eight PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. In addition, there is a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. The equipment includes the ALC887 7.1 audio codec and the Intel I219V Gigabit network controller.
The interface panel contains the following connectors: PS / 2, HDMI, D-Sub, four USB 3.2 ports and two USB 2.0 ports, an RJ45 jack for a network cable and a number of audio jacks.
There is talk of compatibility with the Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. The price is not mentioned.
