“We currently have no plans to switch to a new engine. Changing an engine is a massive undertaking that ultimately consumes critical resources supporting the game.”“,” the authors of the Battle Royale commented on the prospects of a change in key technology.

We would like to remind you that Apex Legends is based on Source, a game engine developed by Valve. The latter has been working with Source 2 for a long time, on the basis of which Counter-Strike 2 and Half-Life: Alyx, for example, are built.

Apex Legends Battle Royale is available for PC (Steam, Origin), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch
