This fall, Cyberpunk 2077 will not only receive the Phantom Liberty expansion and a major update 2.0, but also a new version of one of the most famous amateur modifications – HD Reworked Project by Halk Hogan PL.

The enthusiast showed some textures from HD Reworked Project 2.0 in the video. The author not only improved the quality of the textures compared to the original version (they had the lowest resolution in the original game), but also reworked those that remained untouched. The modder plans to release an updated version in October.
The first version of the HD Reworked Project, released in March this year, can be downloaded from the website Nexus Mods. The mod improves the quality of the textures of the environment (road surface, walls, vegetation, signage, etc.), but at the same time the system requirements increase: according to the creator, the use of video memory can increase by about 400 -800 MB, depending on the selected mode (Balanced or ultra quality).

The modder also said that he is still working on HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and promised to demonstrate it soon. “There is good progress, but we still have a lot of work to do.”, he wrote. — I want to finish this project at the highest level.” The first version of the mod, released in November 2015, was well received even by CD Projekt RED developers. It then became part of the updated edition.
In the comments on the new video, users thanked the enthusiast for the continued support of the mod and noted the professional quality of the improvements. “Better than any recent remaster”— thinks Killah Mate.
