ASUS will launch the TX Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 BTF graphics card in China on September 15 with a proprietary power connector that allows you to power the graphics card without traditional cables that could spoil the appearance of the system. A day later, the compatible TX Gaming B760-BTF WIFI motherboard will go on sale.

A few months ago, ASUS introduced the concept of the GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card without the usual 8- or 12+4-pin power connectors. Instead, in addition to the PCIe x16 connector, the accelerator is equipped with a special connector for providing additional power, so non-standard motherboards are required for the new product. The graphics card itself is 2.3 slots thick and has a cooling system with three fans.
At the Bilibili World 2023 summer exhibition in Shanghai, the manufacturer announced that it would release the GeForce RTX 4070 in the fall without conventional power connectors. The card will be available in white and black versions.
At the same time, ASUS showed the TX Gaming B760-BTF WIFI motherboard at the event, which is equipped with a proprietary GC_HPWR connector and can transmit up to 600W of power to the graphics card without external cables. Power is in turn supplied via a 12+4-pin 12VHPWR connector, located on the back of the motherboard itself, to a special slot on the motherboard.
The ASUS TX Gaming B760-BTF WIFI board features a 13-phase VRM power supply subsystem with a 12+1 circuit, supports 13th generation Intel Core processors, has three M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots and one PCIe 5.0 x16. All slots are equipped with special mechanisms for convenient installation and removal of components. The new product supports the installation of up to 192 GB of DDR5-7200 RAM and is also equipped with a 2.5 Gigabit network adapter and Wi-Fi 6 support.
All main power connectors as well as connectors for connecting peripheral devices on the ASUS TX Gaming B760-BTF WIFI board are located on the back. This is not the manufacturer’s first motherboard with such a connector layout. Previously, ASUS released the TUF Gaming B760M-BTF WiFi D4 board in a compact Micro-ATX format for Intel Alder Lake and Raptor Lake processors. In China, it costs 1,449 yuan (about $200).
There is no information about the cost of the TX Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 BTF graphics card and the TX Gaming B760-BTF WIFI motherboard. Whether these new products will be released outside of China is also unknown. However, the TX Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 BTF is equipped with a cooling system that is used by the ATS Megalodon series graphics cards produced exclusively for China.
