The ASUS TX Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 BTF graphics card with a non-traditional power connector is available for sale

ASUS has started selling the TX Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 BTF graphics card with an unconventional power connector in China. The new product will only be offered as part of kits with the TX Gaming B760-BTF WiFi motherboard, as it can only work with it for now. The board is equipped with a special GC-HPWR connector that replaces the graphics card’s traditional 8- or 12+4-pin power connectors.

The use of a new power connector on the graphics card eliminates the need to lay and connect additional cables, giving you a more attractive appearance of the assembled system. However, this approach requires a special motherboard equipped with the necessary power connector. Without it, the graphics card does not receive the performance required for operation.

ASUS offers the TX Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 BTF graphics card in two sets: only with the TX Gaming B760-BTF WiFi motherboard or with the motherboard and the ASUS GT502 computer case. All components are in the design theme of white and turquoise and look harmonious with each other. All main power connectors as well as connectors for connecting peripheral devices on the ASUS TX Gaming B760-BTF WIFI board are located on the back. To use it, you need a special case that offers this function and has all the necessary cutouts in the back wall. The ASUS GT502 case is one of them.

There are currently not many case models on the market that provide for the arrangement of connectors on the back of the motherboard. That’s why ASUS recently asked manufacturers Thermaltake and Silverstone for help to promote “wireless” computer components.

A set of ASUS TX Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 BTF graphics card and TX Gaming B760-BTF WiFi motherboard costs 6,998 yuan (approximately $962). Together with the ASUS GT502 case, the kit cost 8297 yuan (about $1141).
