The AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card set a new performance record in the synthetic benchmark 3DMark Fire Strike and took first place in the list of achievements Fire Strike Hall of Fame.
The previous record of 61,206 points in 3DMark Fire Strike was set on April 22, 2020 by EVGA overclocker Vince Lucido aka KINGPIN. To do this, he used four overclocked NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards. The new record of this benchmark was officially included in the statistics on January 27, 2022. It was installed by a South Korean overclocker with the pseudonym Biso Biso, who only used an extremely overclocked Radeon RX 6900 XT.
The South Korean enthusiast increased the frequency of the graphics chip to 3147 MHz and overclocked the video memory to 2370 MHz from a nominal 2000 MHz. Thanks to this, the card scored 62,389 points in the benchmark, which is 1183 points more than the previous record.

The experiment used an EVGA Z690 Dark KINGPIN motherboard and an Intel Core i9-12900K processor. It’s very likely that liquid nitrogen was used during overclocking to cool the graphics card’s graphics chip.
