Google released the 100th version of the Chrome browser with an updated logo. The Verge writes about it. For the first time since 2014, the developers have changed the app icon.

The logo change was one of Chrome’s biggest visual changes. The company removed the shadows that were added to the browser symbology in 2014. As a result, the logo has become flatter, which better fits the new identity of Google applications.

The developers have also improved the performance of the application. The changes affected not only the desktop, but also the mobile version of the browser. Instead of the traditional gray color, the program can change its color dynamically.

Some web developers have argued that users may experience page loading issues due to Chrome’s three-digit version. Supposedly, websites can only handle two-digit versions of browsers. So far nothing has been reported about problems loading pages.
