Recall that Tango Gameworks is currently working on the otherworldly action-adventure Ghostwire: Tokyo for PC and PlayStation 5, presented in June 2019.

According to Mikami, the next-to-Ghostwire: Tokyo game Tango Gameworks is being led by John Johanas, the director of the action-horror adventure The Evil Within 2.

Mikami did not specify what kind of project he was talking about, but noted that Yohanas was “In the midst of energetic work”… Production probably started some time ago.

Johanas joined Tango Gameworks in the summer of 2010. His first studio project was the original The Evil Within, which he worked on as a visual effects designer.

Yohanas was allowed to lead the production of The Evil Within 2 by the principle of Mikami to give way to young talents: for example, the game designer entrusted the newcomer Hideki Kamiya to take the helm of Resident Evil 2.

As for Ghostwire: Tokyo, it is expected to premiere in the spring of 2022. The project is a temporary console PS5 exclusive: some time after the initial release, the game will appear on other platforms.
