Synology Launches DVA1622 – NAS and AI for Surveillance Systems

Synology has announced the compact NAS DVA1622 in a desktop form factor. The novelty is primarily designed for use in video surveillance and security systems.

The device is housed in a case with dimensions of 166 × 106 × 223 mm. The installation of two 3.5 inch drives with SATA interface is possible. Hot-swap hard drives are allowed.

The basis is the Intel Celeron J4125 processor of the Gemini Lake Refresh Generation. The chip integrates four cores without multithreading support and a graphics accelerator Intel UHD 600. The base clock frequency is 2.0 GHz, the maximum frequency is 2.7 GHz. The amount of RAM is 6 GB (2 + 4 GB).

The novelty has a network connector 1GbE LAN (RJ45) and two USB 3.0 ports, one of which is displayed on the front panel. There is also an HDMI interface. A 92 mm fan takes care of the cooling.

It should be noted that the DVA1622 is an ideal solution for compact home video surveillance systems and security terminals in tight spaces. Access to video surveillance is possible from any device and at any time. The manufacturer’s guarantee is three years.
