Let us recall that the release of version 2.0 was preceded by almost three years of minor and major updates, and Phantom Liberty turned out to be the first and only add-on, although at least two were originally planned for the game.

According to Amatangelo, it was 2.0 and Phantom Liberty “Latest major updates” for game: “We’ll do a few more little things, but these two were the last big ones.”.

CD Projekt RED already knows what to do after getting things fully sorted in Cyberpunk 2077. “Then there will be Cyberpunk 2says Amatangelo. — Or should I say Orion? Whatever we end up calling it.”.

Orion is being created at CD Projekt RED’s new North American studio in Boston. The team will consist of key Cyberpunk 2077 developers led by Amatangelo and will try “Unlocking the potential of the universe”.

Judging by the May financial report from CD Projekt (CDPR’s parent company), the team will face Orion in early 2024 – and then we’ll just talk about research. So the publication is still a long way off.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on PC (Steam, GOG, EGS), PS4 and Xbox One in December 2020 and appeared on PS5, Xbox Series discontinued 2022.
