Street Fighter V’s latest character arrives on November 29, with the series’ future to be revealed next year

Street Fighter V director Takayuki Nakayama and producer Shuhei Matsumoto as part of a special broadcast uncovered the release date of the last character and talked about the next part of the series.

Recall the final (fifth) fighter of the fifth season of Street Fighter V in august the newcomer to the franchise, Luke, was announced. The debut of the hero was expected during November of this year.

As announced via the stream, Luke will be available on November 29 this year for Street Fighter V: Champion Edition Premium and Character Pass buyers. No other new characters will be introduced into the game anymore.

As part of the stream, they talked about the formation of Luke – as a child, the hero experienced a dramatic event connected with his father, which inspired him to become a fighter and enlist in the army. There, the character will meet a familiar face.

In battle, Luke prefers to press on his opponent, moving forward with each attack. The character’s arsenal also has special techniques that help to safely close the distance and go on the offensive.

As for the next Street Fighter, Luke will play an important role in it. Nakayama and Matsumoto promised to use Street Fighter V’s experience in developing a new project and share more information about it in 2022.

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is available on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 4. According to rumors, the conditional Street Fighter VI is being created for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and will not be released until 2022.
