Steam Weekly Chart: Stray keeps Digimon Survive from climbing higher while Steam Deck tops for ninth straight week

For the ninth straight week, the Steam Deck console remains at the top of the Steam sales table. The adventure of Stray maintained second place, while tactical RPG visual novel Digimon Survive debuted in third place.

While Stray hasn’t lost ground, the maximum number of concurrent players has dropped by more than 50% in a week. If it initially attracted 62,963 simultaneous users, then last week the number fell below 15,000 people (the peak last day was 16 974). The number of reviews has already exceeded 55,000, but the rating has not changed – it is so 97% (it still is best result among the 2022 releases on Steam).

Released on July 28, Digimon Survive is less popular: its own record remains 6179 concurrent players. A new game from the famous virtual pet franchise, developed by Hyde and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, has received over 700 reviews on the site on which its rating is based 80%.

Among the advantages, buyers highlight an intriguing dark story with multiple endings, expressive characters, good tactical battles (battles make up about a third of the game), and warmly speak about the visual component, soundtrack, and voice acting. The shortcomings include a small number of Digimon, limited monster customization and too low a difficulty level. Despite the shortcomings, Digimon Survive is recommended to fans of the universe and especially the original Digimon Adventure anime series. The game was released not only for PC but also for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

The space adventure No Man’s Sky, which returned to the top ten thanks to the release of the Endurance content update and a 50% discount (valid until tonight), has moved up from sixth to fourth place. Marvel’s Spider-Man remaster pre-order fell two spots to fifth, while Raft fell from fourth to ninth (still high online – 39 483 users in the last 24 hours). The kit with the Valve Index VR helmet and the Elden Ring RPG action added a line each – now they’re in sixth and seventh place respectively. The eighth went to Red Dead Redemption 2 and the tenth to Grand Theft Auto V: both action until the evening of August 4th are offered with great discounts.

The farming simulator Dinkum, the founder’s kit for the fighting game MultiVersus, fell off the charts (the game itself, distributed on a shareware basis, rose 153 433 concurrent user leaves far behind other representatives of the genre on Steam) and tactical shooter Ready or Not.
