Steam Weekly Chart: Sons of the Forest left no chance for new releases and Atomic Heart couldn’t beat the game in 2018

SteamDB site introduced Steam sales chart for the period from February 28th to March 7th. This is the second list of the updated format, which takes shareware games into account and does not have a limit of ten positions.

Survival simulator Sons of the Forest leads for the second straight week despite a noticeable drop in online numbers. The highlight of the last day was 123 346 Users (personal record – 414,257).

Last week’s biggest hit was the role-playing action Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty from Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo. The new game from the authors of the Nioh dilogy debuted in third place, showing a record on Steam among all the studio’s projects and online editor (75 906). In the last 24 hours it was 53 160. The ratings remain “mostly negative” (rating – 38% based on almost 11,000 reviews) due to poor optimization and unresolved issues with the camera when using the keyboard and mouse, but the game itself is rated positively.

Destiny 2’s Lightfall DLC started in fifth place. The extension helped the shooter set his own new online record: on March 1, the number rose 316 750 (the previous one, 292,513, was recorded in 2019). However, reviews of the DLC are “overwhelmingly negative” (33% based on almost 4,500 reviews): Customers are dissatisfied with story missions, location design and lack of new content.

The second week was less successful for Atomic Heart: the shooter lost seven positions and finished tenth, the number of simultaneous players decreased 7294 (maximum in the last 24 hours). RPG action game Hogwarts Legacy dropped from second row to fourth (daily peak – 139 406), Steam Deck moved up from fifth to second, and shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from seventh to sixth.

The simulator FIFA 23 returned to seventh place (last week it was 11th), the eighth place went to the city-building strategy game Anno 1800, which is preparing to welcome Anniversary update (Now the game is valid 75 percent discount) and the ninth – to the long-lost top 10 co-op shooter Deep Rock Galactic, running through March 16th case in honor of the fifth anniversary since its release in Early Access (February 28, 2018).

The turn-based tactical RPG Phantom Brigade, which came out of Early Access, came closest to the new dozens of new items (it sits at number 11). She was recommended 84% Ratings (total ratings – more than 1200).
