Steam Weekly Chart: Cyberpunk 2077 Rise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Pre-Order Top 3, Metal: Hellsinger Modest Launch

Cyberpunk 2077 is back in second place sales chart Steam. The game’s popularity was boosted by 50 percent discount, the premiere of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series, the release of a major update 1.6, and the announcement of the Phantom Liberty story expansion. The front row will be occupied by Steam Deck for the sixteenth week in a row.

By September 13, the day Cyberpunk: Edgerunners premiered, the number of concurrent players in Cyberpunk 2077 exceeded 20,000. In the last 24 hours was the number 85 555 That’s about five times the average for the last six months. Online hasn’t reached such heights since January 2021 – even in February 2022, when the large-scale patch 1.5 was released, RPG was only able to attract a little over 59,000 users. However, the reviews were positive: The rating on Steam, based on more than 2300 reviews, is 97%and the average score for metacritical – 79-82/100. Buyers and journalists are praising the shooter for its soundtrack, mature mechanics, and addictive gameplay, calling it one of this year’s best despite some monotony and transience.

Despite the console versions’ lack of next-gen features, basketball sim NBA 2K23 held its ground in fifth place and even grew a bit online. In the last 24 hours was the number 24 941 players and on September 17 – 25,480 (personal record).

The Marvel’s Spider-Man Remaster fell from fourth to tenth place (the peak in the last 24 hours is 10 001). The sale added three more former Sony exclusives to the top ten: God of War, out now 20% cheaper (6th place), Days Gone (8th) and Horizon Zero Dawn (9th), receive 60 percent discount. For each of the three online has increased significantly (daily maximum – 8292, 9297 and 9324 User).
